Davis Koresh

David Koresh, born Vernon Wayne Howell was born to a 15 year old single mother in Houston Texas. Going up Koresh never knew who his father was and barley saw his mother, so therefor his grandparents raised him. During one of Koresh's interviews with the F.B.I he had claimed that he had grown up as a very lonely child. He also claimed that his fellow classmates would tease him and call him "Vernie." He was also known for being dyslexic and a not well behaved student which lead him to drop out of high school and becoming a carpenter. Although he may of not been the best student, he loved his music and dreamed of someday becoming a musician.(Biography: David Koresh, Card# 1)

By the Age of 20 Koresh had turned to the church of the Seventh day adventist, which also was the church his mother attended on a regular basis. While attending that church Koresh became very close with the "lord". After about a year of attending the Seventh Day Adventist church Koresh got kicked out because he was seen as a bad influence to the "young people." After getting kicked out of the church David Went to Hollywood a tried to accomplish his life long dream of becoming a "rock star." After just 2 years of trying at his dream, David decided to leave Hollywood and move to Waco, Texas where he joined the group now known as the Branch Davidians. Shortly after joining the group David became "involved" with the main leader, sixty year old Lois Roden. That relationship laster for a few years until Rodens death, which lead to David struggling to gain control over the Branch Davidians. But in order for him to gain control he had to take it from Rodens son George Roden. Eventually David was sick of dealing with Georg so he decided to take those who believed in him to eastern Texas where the studied Davids beliefs. The group stayed in eastern Texas for a few years until they returned to Waco in 1987 with plans of killing George Roden so Daivid could regain the power of the Branch Davidians. David along with 7 of his followers opened fire on Roden but did not succeed in killing him, instead they just badly injured him. Because of this, David and his followers went on trial for attempted murder but were found not guilty because the jury deadlocked and the persecutors chose not to retry any of them. Shortly after his court date Davids financial records show that he spent $199,715.00 on weapons and ammunitions and a period of 17 months. David had bought over 200 weapons including

Gas Masks

and several tactical vests and other body armors.

Although David was not arrested for prison, six of the surviving Branch Davidians were convicted
