Culture refers to set of shared values, beliefs, norms, ethics and characteristics held by the members of group, such as an organization or a nation. No two nations have similar culture. Every country has got its unique culture which reflects the religious beliefs, traditions, life style and moral values of the majority of people in the society.

There are many set of countries which are engaged in conflict arising out of cultural differences or conflicts based on religious beliefs. One such set of countries that are currently shaping the geo strategic and socio economic parameters for the entire human race are United States of America and Afghanistan. USA is in conflict with Afghanistan post the culmination of the second Gulf War (2003). USA is on a mission which is known as "The War on Terror". USA is a democratic nation having democratic government in states and in Washington DC, on the contrary Afghanistan is historically a feudal country divided distinctly based on caste, creed and clans. Afghanistan is a land of landlords and warlords who have their own diktat. Both the countries depict the distinct East West divide in terms of culture, governance and human resource. USA is a developed country whereas Afghanistan is a poor country who has seen riches in the past but currently survives on AID given by other countries and this sets the example of haves and have-nots.

USA is a democratic nation which has a distinct national and foreign policy. It's a collective environment where people from all walk of life work together or in tandem to propel economy, governance, healthcare and education. Whereas Afghanistan is a country of many Rulers (individuals) who have their personal ambitions, greed, history and mass following, hence Afghanistan has many fault-lines based on class, creed and clan. USA is a collective environment whereas Afghanistan is a country of Individual aspirations. USA is masculine because of its military might and the capability to reach the farthest corner of the earth with the determination to seek an early termination of the conflict. USA becomes masculine also on the base of support it garners from the countries all across the globe which makes its actions acceptable and logical (act against a rogue nation). Afghans are a martial race, which makes them masculine but in a conflict zone because of their various setbacks and infightings this masculinity
