Life sucked back in the sixteenth-century. Luckily, people had a option to colonize in the Americas for a better living. At that time, improvements in navigation and sailling allow the people to travel to the Americas. Europe\'s political development

also contributed to the colonization of the Americas. The monarchs wanted more power and land equals power. The Americas holds tons of opportunity for the English and Spanish.

After 1450, the strong monarchs of Europe steadily enlarged there spheres of power. They wanted to extend their power and political control. This lead to colonization in the Americas. Power leads to more land, more land leads to more money, and because of this, monarchs in Europe were able to sustain the professional armies and navies capable of protecting the empires abroad. All colonies needs a military to protect them and hold control.

It was a race for dominance in Europe at that time. Spain colonized in the Americas in search of more riches. Spain discovered a vast amount of silver deposits in Mexico and Peru. They eventually returned to their mother country with spectacular profits. Because of this, Spain developed silver mining enterprise. This made Spain the dominant power in Europe. All the riches that Spain had gained came at a price. That price was in human lives. Indians of the Caribbean was devastated

by warfare, disease, and exploitation.

An inflation occurred

by the late fifteenth century. This inflation benefits those who had goods to sell, money to lend, and land to rent. So, not everyone benefited from this and the people who had less capital was harmed by this. Some people, therefore, decided to colonize in the Americas to seek a better living,gain land for cheap, or find more resources to trade. Another event that lead to more colonization in Americas was the high birthrate among

England\'s upper classes. The oldest son inherits the land from the father leaving the younger sons with no land. Those younger son went to the Americas for land they couldn\'t possess in England.

Spanish attacked the city of Antwerp, which was England\'s major European market for cloth. This forced the merchants to look elsewhere for work.
