Constantine Aristigueta is a 12-year-old girl that lives in Kyoto, Japan. She has an IQ of 73 and is considered to be Borderline Intellectually Disabled. Constantine grew up in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She enjoyed each sunny day as much as she could by going to the pool in her backyard. It was an Olympic size pool since her dad was a swimmer. She wanted to follow her dad's steps and always went to practice her swimming speed after classes. Now that she is living in Japan, everything is a lot more complicated since, unlike Maracaibo, it has all four seasons. Now, she goes to an inside pool that is near her house and swims there even during winter, but it's not the same since she doesn't feel the warm sun while swimming. Her parents are Franka Giuriolo, an immigrant from Italy, and Fernando Aristigueta, an immigrant from the Netherlands. Her father is a successful businessman with a chain of hotels all over Japan and her mother is her personal secretary, helping her dad with all of her financial problems. Constantine is the youngest of five siblings. Constantine has a very nice relationship with her siblings; they often play with her and take her to amusement parks. Still, Constantine gets a little depressed because she feels there is a difference between her and her siblings. She feels that this difference is the reason her siblings treat her like a baby. Thus, it is hard for her to retain new information as easily as she should. Constantine's everyday consists of going to regular school and after school she goes to cram school to help her learn the information that was given during class time. Only on Wednesdays she has early release and goes to the indoor swimming pool near her house to swim. Then on Saturday's she works as a waitress at a nearby café. After leaving her part-time job, she goes sightseeing because she believes that Japan's scenery is breathtaking. Constantine feels the need to prove herself more than others so that people stop looking at her with pity just because she learns things more slowly than others. Constantine feels that even if her intelligence is below average, she shouldn't be considered mentally disabled because she doesn't qualify for a disability. She does well on her regular classes because she reinforces her learning at cram school,
