Brothers

"We have two teenage boys running down the ally behind on 3rd St." said a cop over the police radio.

"10-4!" answered Officer Minor. This wasn't the first time Officer Minor got this call. He knows that he is chasing Bob and Kevin two brothers who live on the same street as he does. Bob and Kevin who has now lived at their aunt for 10 years ever since their parents were viciously murdered during the LA Riots in 1992. Ever since then the two brothers started to gang bang. They steal and rob stores and random citizens. They have been in juvenile detention numerous times. "Stop!" yelled Officer Minor. He had caught up to the two boys. "Good morning Kevin, good morning Bob." The two boys tried to run away. "Uhh... No, you boys aren't going any where until we have a little chat."

Officer Minor drove the boys to their aunt's home instead of arresting them because he wanted to turn their lives around. "What have you boy been up to?" said their aunt.

"Nutin' Auntie," replied Bob and Kevin together. Officer Minor explained to their aunt that they have been caught stealing from a liquor store. Officer Minor had a plan in mind that will help the boys to get out of trouble. The plan was for the boys to go to school everyday, get at least a 3.5 GPA, and be on 2 sports teams. If they failed to meet these requirements they would be sent back to juvenile detention.

"Man that was stupid plan we have to follow" said Kevin angrily. Kevin who is 15 is Bob younger brother.

"Don't worry little bro life is going to be better now," said Bob. Bob is 17, he doesn't like to gangbang, but it is the only way he feels that he fits in.

On the first day of school Kevin and Bob went to Martin High School. People looked at them funny from the moment they stepped on campus. Both Kevin and Bob had a ragged and hard look about them. "What you looking at?" Bob said to a fellow senior after school at basketball tryouts.

"At your big bald head!" said the boy laughing. Suddenly Bob couldn't keep his cool and pushed him down and knocked him out. It took four coaches to get Bob off the other student. Bob was suspended for two days and was told he would never play basketball for Martin High.

"Auntie, it wasn't my fought he insulted me" said Bob crying. His Aunt and little bother were trying to calm Bob down.

"Aww, don't worry bro you'll make it in Track" said Kevin.

"Maybe" said Bob "I'm going to apologize tomorrow and I'm sure they will let me play,"

"Hopes it works out for you because I want to play too, don't mess it up for both of us." The next day Bob tried to come back and tryout on the second day. He was meat by campus security and escorted to the office where he had a meeting with the principal.

"You were clearly told that you would never play a game of basketball as long as you are here at Martin High" said the principal.

"I know butÐ'..." Bob said angrily

"No buts, you stay out of trouble now," said the principal interrupting Bob's apology. Bob went home frustrated and scared because he had an appointment that night with Officer Minor.

That night Bob and Kevin met with Officer Minor for their weekly progress meeting. Both Bob and Kevin were getting A's and B's and had 1 tardy. Bob told Officer Minor what happened at basketball tryouts. "It won't happen again, please don't make me go back to jail" Bob pleaded.

"Don't worry Bob, You've and your brother both improved tremendously from the last time I arrested you. Both of you go to basketball tryouts tomorrow and there will be a big surprise waiting for you" said Officer Minor.

The next day Bob couldn't stop wondering what the surprise was. In math he was day dreaming and got in trouble. "Bob, pay attention or I will send you to the office" said Bob's Math teacher. Through out the day he was nervous and was not paying any attention
