Introduction.

As history shows, religious faith or belief can often prove to be a much stronger force than considerations of pure self-interest. In some circumstances people will even sacrifice their life for their faith. In spite of whether this powerful force works for the good or bad of mankind, it would be a great mistake to think that the globalization and economization of thought has lessened religion’s importance. Religion continues to act as one of the major factor to better the human behavior. Man is incurably religious although the form and object of his religious feelings may change over time

What is Religion? Do we need Religion?

There is no proper definition for the world religion as everyone has its own point of view about the religion but there are few things that must be considered and understand when we go on a talk about the religion. What if there was not the true religion, the world would become the darkest prison. What if we were not been told that there are always two paths to spend your life the right path which is difficult because you have to follow rules and the law given by the god, and the other path is the easy path where there are no restrictions there is no obedience required.

The main philosophy of the religion is that it gives us the right way of life but is there any right religion on earth? Does god exist? How god looks likes, there are many more questions that arise when we talk about the philosophy of the religion. We need religion because it gives us the spirituality, it stops us doing evil things, we need religion because we want world to be the better place to live in.

Importance of Religion

We are living in the age of science and modern wonders there are many people who ask, "Why do we still need religion?" I mean really. Science has shown a clear path towards answering all kinds of questions that once were the domain of magic and religion. Does that not prove that religion is merely the domain of ignorance and fools who wish to believe in fairy tales purely based on what they refer to as "Faith"? This has long been one of the chief arguments made by atheists against religion. However their confusions towards why educated people still believe in religions.

However of greater importance to understanding why religion is important to people understands that religion provides a powerful mechanism for anxiety relief. It also allows people to better cope with personal tragedy and hardships that we all go through in life.

Comparing the Religions of Pakistan and United Kingdom

Biggest religion of United Kingdom

The official and the major religion of England is Christianity, as practiced by the Church of England (Anglican). The Church in Wales is also Anglican. In Scotland the official Church is the Presbyterian Church of Scotland. Other Christians include the Roman Catholics and the Methodist. As main religion of Britain is Christianity so that is why most Christians belong to the Church of England or the Church of Scotland. These are Protestant Churches. There are also many Roman Catholics. The queen is the head of the Church of England. Although Christianity is the most practiced religion in UK, there are also large numbers of people of other religions living in UK. According 2001 census,

The biggest religion of Pakistan is Islam about 97 percent of the Pakistanis are Muslims. Official documentation states that Sunni Muslims constitute 77 percent of the population and that adherents of Shia Islam make up an additional 20 percent. Christians, Hindus, and members of other religions each account for about 1 percent of the population.
