Relationships with professors
Over the past few months, I have developed many relations with professors. I believe that is the key difference when attending a private college. Attending a private college can have the benefits of knowing your professor on a one on one basis. I have tried to reach that goal of meeting with my professors and allowing them to get to know me better.
My relationship with each of my professors is a very good one because I have come to meet each of my professors during their office hours when I need help. It comes in really handy because then I get ti speak with them about what I really need extra help with so that I can better improve. All the professors are really easy going as well, meaning, that if I ever struggle with a concept they will allow me to get the extra help that I need.
Some skills and characteristics that I see benefitting these relationships is that I am not afraid to go out and reach for help because I know if I do not reach out then I will not succeed. In high school I would ask for help as well and asking for help is not bad, it just lets the teacher or professor know that you are struggling in some areas and that you need help.
I would integrate these relationships when understanding my identity by the way that I can now use these communication skills that I have developed with my professors to now help me when I go look for a job or go out for an interview. Communication skills are very necessary and without them I do not think that a person can survive this world.
