My experimental question was if the  size of a disk will affect how far it goes.  I predicted that the size of the this would affect how far it goes. My experiment showed that the size of the disk affects how far it went. Some of the reasons why I had these results was because of two forces called lift and drag. Another reason was because of a factor called momentum. Another thing a disk experiences during flight is  air resistance. Velocity and acceleration are both applied to the speed of a disk during flight. The angle might have affected the results of the experiment. The thrust and weight effects the distance the disk goes. There are multiple reasons why these were the results.

Two key forces that act on a disk during flight are lift and drag. Lift and drag are both aerodynamic forces. Lift and drag  depend on the shape and size of the disk. Lift is the force that allows the disk to stay airborne. In  flight it opposes the force of gravity on the disks mass. Since a disk has a curved shape, the airflow above it must travel at a higher velocity than that underneath. Henceforth creating low pressure above and high pressure below the disk. Lift and drag affected the distance the disk went.

Velocity affected the distance of the disk. Velocity is the speed of something in a given direction. Velocity is also a  vector quantity that refers to the rate at which an object changes its position. To find the velocity of an object you divide the distance by the time it takes to travel that same distance. Then you add your direction to it.The time it takes from an object to be projected and land is called the time of flight. This depends on the initial velocity of the projectile and the angle of projection. Velocity affected the distance the disk went.

The amount of thrust and the weight of disk affects the distance of a disk. Thrust is the force which moves the disk through the air. Thrust is a force which is generated through the reaction of accelerating the mass of gas. For example, a gas or working fluid is accelerated to the rear and the engine and aircraft are accelerated in the opposite direction. Causing it to go in the opposite direction. Thrust  is a mechanical force. According to Newton's second law of motion, we can define a force to be the change in momentum of an object with a change in time. Thrust affected the distance the disk went.

The launch angle affects both lift and drag. Launch
