Part 1

After reading Chapter 2 in the textbook and the lecture for this topic, write a two- to three-sentence answer to each of the six questions that form the basic components or personal commitments for your worldview. Answer the questions about your own beliefs in your own words, not what you think the Christian worldview believes. Keep this worksheet intact and only add your answers under each question.

1. What is your belief about ultimate reality?

I am Catholic, I still believe in the only God my religion taught me. I believe in the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. I may not go to Church in service days, but I still believe in the Judgment of God.

2. What is your belief about the nature of the universe?

There is no answer for who or what created the Universe. Science already showed us that there is more planets, close and far away from us. Faith showed us that we can believe in God and better things can happen. The Universe is all of matter and energy, it was the result of the natural existence. There is no creator.

3. What is your belief about human nature and the afterlife?

It has being proved that we come from a very unique specimen that evolve through time. We have intelligence and own will. For some it will not matter if we have a soul or spirit, they will do their best to have a great life, others will do as the Bible says to have their soul or spirit clean of sin. It will not matter the imperfection in our body, we still were created to the image of God. Once a life ends, memories stay in the mind of the others, for some the dead will reincarnate in something and will come back to this world one more time. For me after dead, I will go to the presence of God and judged for all my actions.

4. What is your belief about knowledge?

History show us that humans are capable of anything. We evolved into the best specie there is in the world. Knowledge is the best thing a human being can have in life, we acquire it through education or situations that happened in our life. Knowledge give us the freedom to choose between right or wrong, from good or bad. It also help us understand that if our faith to God is true, then we should fear him.

5. What is your basis of ethics?

The basis of ethics is the moral of principles that guided me through some of the most important moments in my life so far. As the Navy taught me the Honor, to serve this country that gave me another opportunity to keep moving forward in life, Courage, to learn to affront my mistakes and not give excuses to success in life, and Commitment, to full fill my duties as a sailor and citizen of the United States, making sure I do my best in anything I do.

6. What is your purpose?

There is a purpose in life, everyone has a purpose in this life. I heard that once you know yourself, you will find your purpose. I know the enough of me, but still not enough to find my real purpose in life. It may seem that sometimes the purpose of everybody is to leave a lesson for the new generations, but I think the purpose of some people is more than leaving lesson for future people.

Part 2
