A. Plot

  1. Motivation
  2. Exposition

The story starts with Maria, stepping down from the carratela of Ca Celin.  It is her first time to meet Baldo and Labang.  She is going to go to Leon’s hometown and meet his parents for the first time.

  1. Rising Action

Baldo drove them to the Waig instead on the Camino Real. It was his father’s command to test if Maria can really live in a place that is completely different from her home.  Leon wondered why Baldo took that road instead. While travelling, the couple sang together and Maria praised the place of Leon.

  1. Climax

They reached home and Leon’s father did not welcome them.  He was on his room because his foot is hurting again. Baldo and his father had a conversation about what had happened while they were travelling.

  1. Falling Action

Baldo’s father if Maria was afraid of their place. He answered no, because Maria is nor afraid and in fact, she enjoyed her travel.

  1. Denoument

Leon’s family talked to Maria.  His father’s voice became livelier than before when he talked to her.
