Motivational Letter

Dear Sir/ Madam.

Thank you for providing opportunity to apply for Master in Data Science program from your esteemed university.

For this section I would like to share my entrepreneurial project “free school for underprivileged children” which I started  when I was 15 year old.

         I live in village named Kalewadi in Pune, India. Village consists of mainly peasants and factory workers who are poor and cannot afford to pay tuitions for primary education of their children. I was fortunate because my father knew importance of education and work very hard for my tuitions for school.  

        I enjoyed studying very much, when I was in class 10th I realized the importance of education in individual life and seeing unprivileged children who cannot get education, I felt need to open free school for unprivileged children in kalewdi. For this purpose I persuaded my friends, teachers in my school and charity organization to please volunteer as teacher for week. I started first class for free school from my house with 20 students.  My parents helped me for this project. After 3 year government appreciated our effort and helped us by providing 5 permanent teachers to school. Now after 10 year 80,000 children have got primary education from school

   Free school has very little budget for infrastructure, so we used help of technology many times to solve our problems smartly. We used Skype and projector to teach when school lacked teachers.

  Now the school is collectively managed and administered by my family,  5 government teachers and charity organization  in community hall.

         I pray to lord that we continue to provide free primary education to underprivilage children
