Compare and Contrast of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth.

Ambition is the driving force of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to achieve their goals. Ambition is a characteristic of people. All people have goals and ambition helps them to arrive at their goals. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth chose to use their ambition for evil instead of good. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth brought upon themselves their own demise with there evil deeds. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth eventually got to the point of insanity. Throughout the play Macbeth and Lady Macbeth reasons for there actions and how they feel about ther actions constantly change, but in different ways.

Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have an ambition that mentally breaks them down. They start to feel guilty for what they have done. They are also both extremely stubborn and set in their ways as it is expressed when Macbeth doesn't seem to want to change his mind about killing the king Duncan. They both have the same ambition, when put together their plan seems to be unstoppable. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are extremely similar, however they are different in many ways. As the power changes throughout the play there differences start to show.

Macbeth and Lady Macbeths relations are very close. There are a lot of things that Macbeth doesn't seem to understand about Lady Macbeth. On the other hand Lady Macbeth seems to know Macbeth almost to well. She claims that Macbeth is filled with human kindness. She is the stronger willed at the beginning of the play, after all she did talk Macbeth into it. She is good at persuading Macbeth be cause she knows his weaknesses and can use it against him. Macbeth doesn't have this knowledge of Lady Macbeth, therefore he can not help but to fall in to her traps of persuasion.

Persuasion and identical ambition is a large part of Macbeth and Lady Macbeths marriage. Macbeth starts to take control of the situation when he slaughters Duncans guards. Lady macbeth didn't seem to be one hundred percent ready for Macbeths actions. Another example of how Macbeth starts to take control is when he hires hit men to kill Banquo and Fleance, however he did show hesitance to do it himself, so he hired hit men to kill them for him. Macbeth now is in control and keeping his sanity until the banquet scene. Lady Macbeth had to have the courage there and take over so the guest could not catch on to what they had done.
