  Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed watching and playing basketball. I’ve played throughout all of middle school and one year in high school. Once I got to high school I wanted to try something new. My friends and I decided  to try football. We were all dedicated and although we finished 2-7 we grew as a team and I couldn’t ask for a better group of guys to go to battle with.After Football as usual  played Basketball and we lost every game and it was honestly embarrassing. Going in to my Sophomore year I was looking for redemption for both of my seasons.

  When my Sophomore season started I knew it would be good. I put in a lot of work during the offseason and was ready to show my team what I am about. Long story short, our season went horrible and we finished 1-8. The one game we did win though, I got 12 tackles and 6 pancakes. Now on to my Winter season. I was ready for Basketball season ,but Coach Leblanc didn’t want me on his team. He said, “ You’re to big to be on Jv Basketball and you need to go do Wrestling”. I was very pissed ,because Basketball is my main sport and my coach of two years didn’t want me on his team. I went home that day feeling lifeless and honestly just angry. Two weeks went by and I was in no sport. Until I sat down and talked with my mom and she convinced me to go to Wrestling practice.

  My first day was hard and it was a big learning experience and I still got a lot to learn. I been at it for 3 weeks now and I actually enjoy it.and it is something I might do again next year. Basketball is still my passion ,but sometimes you gotta try something new to better you.
