Global industries are impacted by many different environmental factors. This paper is going to describe what environmental factors have an impact on The Bridgestone/Firestone Rubber Industry. Being a globally known and located company, Bridgestone must have values and practices based around knowledge of successfully interacting with diverse customers, and also able to adapt to the many different foreign ethics and laws. The many different Bridgestone locations are all different. Same name, but different products. The main corporate location in the states in found in Nashville TN. The founder of Bridgestone was from Japan. Bridgestone is a Japanese owned company. There are multiple locations in Central America, North America, Asia, Oceania, South America, Middle East/Africa, and Europe. The company is made up of a large and diverse group of employees. Travel to different locations for training opportunities is mandatory. This places a large emphasis on the employees and ensuring that they are up to date on the any international differences from each location. The length of the training trips can last up to weeks, sometimes months at any given time. "The Bridgestone Group, with it's headquarter in Tokyo, is the world's largest tire and rubber company.

In addition to tires which are used in a wide variety of applications, Bridgestone manufactures a broad range of diversified products that include industrial rubber and chemical products and sporting goods. Bridgestone products are sold in more than 150 nations and territories around the world."(Bridgestone, 2012)

The influence of global economic interdependence and the effect of trade practices and agreements

Many businesses will start will creating a detailed marketing plan. Marketing plans are created in order to get recognition for the product or service that is being done within that organization. Several different areas will play a role in how the marketing plan is designed and carried out. Some of the factors are the culture, political views, and the current surrounding environment. Even though the locations are spread out and very diverse, each area must be monitored and maintained through out all location, in order for the business to be successful as a whole. The local community and productivity will make up and determine the environmental impact. These areas will have some amount of impact on the potential marketing opportunities. The area that determines the way the company's products and good are views, and accepted, is the cultural environment aspect. Representing the same company in multiple areas globally puts a huge emphasis on business conduct and etiquette. The behavior and representation from each person, represents the company as a whole. Many locations have different views and opinions when in regards to business handlings. Without properly doing so, the company assigned representatives may not be accepted my local consumers.

The Importance of Demographics and physical infrastructure

Cultural diversity has a critical role within Bridgestone's company compliance and training. Ensuring that all company representatives are informed and prepared for the different environmental factors that have an influence on business is very important. When working with a partner location that ay be situated in another part of the world, understanding and abiding by the correct legal practices and different company standards, is important to ensure everyone is staying within policy of all participating locations. Thorough research and planning takes place prior to doing multiple international business transactions. The advertising and media for Bridgestone ensures that the focus and appearance is created in order to fit and appease the culture that it is viewed by. Japan has a very strong work ethic and aim to include their cultural beliefs within their advertising. In the States, Bridgestone is a large sponsor with a focus for sports. Some of those sports are Golf, and Racing. Many Bridgestone commercials shown within the states will have a focus on NASCAR and PRO Golf tours. All the same Bridgestone products are available in all locations globally, the difference falls in the environment in which the marketing is being developed and viewed.

The Influence of Cultural Differences

Influence of cultural differences is a huge focus within the Bridgestone Corporation. Diversity is one of the primary reasons behind the success of the company. Issues can come into play when you have the same types of products, being produced in different areas all over the world.
