Aravind Eye Health Care corporate set their strategic position as building the largest eye health care system in India and developing globally. They set up different operation stages such as screening, primary care, and hospitals treatment which located in eye camps, specialized camps, eye centers, and hospitals.  They also offer free transportation between those campus and hospital. This segmentation management led to a high operational efficiency to Aravind Eye Hospital.

One main purpose of AEHC is that to service the most efficient and optimal health care treatment to patient through improving the quality and efficiency of the available resources. For example they built their own production facility to improve supply also reduce the cost. They make good use of the human resources which provided a wealth of trained medical personal. In order to expand the scale of operations of the hospital, they focus on managing patient flow. The hospital operate maximum percentage of patients availability suits during their time and the rest part are worked in preparation activities.

Q2.

One of trade-off strategy of Aranvid Eye Health Care is that they reduce cost of intraocular cataract lenses to make more people can afford to treatments. They decide to manufacture lenses by themselves, which decrease the price of lenses that poor people can afford. Instead, Aranvid can stay their cost and sell the lenses for higher price to rich people.

Another trade-off of Aranvid is that giving two thirds patients free treatments and only charges 40 dollars from the third patient who can afford it. By giving up most of profits, Aranvid is positioning as a non-profit organization.
