1. The officer must provide me with a receipt to prove that the one-time visa for me surely, so it is unacceptable to receive the visa without a receipt. I would ask the officer to provide me with the receipt first, and if he refuses, I will contact the embassy of United States in Beijing to ask for solutions. At the same time, a call to my company shall be made to explain what has happened and to look for alternatives.
2. I would firstly thank him for his sincere consideration, but eventually turn down his suggestion. It is illegal to do business in any country without paying tax to local government. I cannot risk my considerable business in Thailand for saving money from tax payment. Also, paying tax to government is a duty that taken by every people. It is not ethical to enjoy the profits brought by having rights without fulfilling the duties or obligations.
3. I would not make the donation before the bid since it is not fair to other suppliers in this competition if I made the donation. Also, $500,000 is a considerable amount of money. I cannot make the donation even without making sure I would eventually outcompete other suppliers.
4. I will insist on having the receipt and paying the price at $800 since the receipt is the evidence that I once had the shop repairing my car and that I have paid the store. The receipt shows that both parties involving have fulfilled their obligations.
5. I would not provide the tip, and my answer would not differ depending on who paid the luggage fees. Providing the check-in attendant with tip would surely harm the interest of airline company and break the rules, so no matter who is paying for the fees shall end up with the same result. On the other hand, as an auditor, I should always be in compliance with rules and regulations, regardless of circumstances.
