The Great Depression was a difficult period of time that began after the stock market crash in 1929. The United states went into a stage of confusion with the Government, economy and social establishments. Many americans including the Government attempted ways to deal with the problems that the United States faced.

The Americans faced many issues during the Great Depression. To begin with, unemployment hurt the Americans. Specifically, many workers lost their jobs and the stores lost people buying because no one had money (Doc.1). The workers had little savings and they couldn’t pay rent so many, lost their homes. If anyone had children the kids would leave their homes because their families didn’t have enough money to care for them. Secondly, banks suffered tremendously during 1929. To prove, the banks began to collapse and many people wanted to withdraw their money from the bank which made banks lose their money. (Doc.2). The Americans thought that their money was safer in their homes and they hid the money under their mattresses. In 1932 28 out of $8 states had no banks so that made many people not trust banks anymore. Thirdly, many Americans became homeless during The Great Depression. Furthermore, they didn’t pay rent for their furnished homes because they had no money. They depended on occasional dinners from friends for food. The Government didn’t allow people to get away with not paying rent so they would take your belonging and sell them for money to pay for the rent. This caused many to lose their homes and clothes. They couldn’t get a job because they had no job experience. (Doc.3). SInce everyone was poor they all lived in caves or in hoovervilles. Others, threw rocks at windows to be sent to jail for three hot meals, shelter and warmth. Lastly, The Dust Bowl had a horrible effect on the American. To add, The dust Bowl was regions that had farms that were being damaged by dust storms. These regions were parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and New Mexico. Many farmers had to move away from the Great Plains because they weren’t able to pay their debts. The only option they had was to leave their land and go to the Fertile Valley of California. The Dust bowl messes up people’s homes,killed animals and gace many people heart problems. Those were problems that happened because of the Great Depression.

The Americans also found ways to fix the problems of the great Depression. Firstly, the shop for unemployed helped them with food. To prove,
